Szymon Pietruszka

Specialist in general surgery since 2018. He completed his residency training at the University Hospital in Krakow in the Department of General, Oncological and Gastroenterological Surgery. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the Jagiellonian University Collegium Medicum in Kraków, where he then worked as an assistant, passing on his knowledge of surgery to students. His greatest professional passion is endoscopy. He performs practically all gastrointestinal endoscopy procedures, both as part of diagnostics (including screening programmes) but also as part of broadly defined surgical endoscopy. The rule is simple – the more difficult the procedure, the more passionate he is about performing it.

He develops himself professionally by attending training and courses on surgical, endoscopic and clinical nutrition.

He is a member of: Society of Polish Surgeons, European Surgical Society and the endoscopic section of TCHP, European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy ESGE, Polish Society of Parenteral, Enteral and Metabolism POLSPEN.
